Beautiful Ganesh mantra by Wah!

Do you know God in the form of Ganesh?  It is customary to recite this mantra at the beginning of a project, before studying, and just about any endeavor, to bless the path that lies ahead, and connect you to the strength within, and in the Divine, to overcome obstacles.  So of course, I can't forget to include a post dedicated to dear Ganesh at the beginning of this blog!

I invite you to listen to this beautiful mantra below!  It sounds like a beautiful sunny day...

I started this blog because I was at work one day, and looking for some divine inspiration during my lunch break.  I stumbled upon this beautiful blog, Glorious Krishna.  I was impressed to see (via the guest tracker on the sidebar of the blog) that there were still daily visitors to the blog, even though the last post was in 2014.  I emailed the being that created the blog, thanking them for their work and begging them to create more posts.

Suddenly I found myself spending the rest of my lunch break creating a blog from scratch!  I guess I was just so moved and inspired by that Glorious Krishna blog, that I didn't want to spend more time scouring the Internet for another similar blog with an endless treasure trove of spiritual posts...I was inspired to "be the change," as they say.

During Swan School, Swan Michelle urged us to dig deep and find creative ways to share the yogic teachings, as there are totally more ways than being a yoga teacher.  There are so many Yoga Margas to explore, the possibilities are endless...indeed, God is infinite.

Also, my landlord mentioned a while back the difference between gifts and talents.  He says a gift is what comes easy for you, it is your gift to the world, and talents are what you can use to survive in this material world.  Again, the same message about digging deep and asking God how I can best serve in this lifetime.

Truly, this is something God wants me to learn, as I heard the same message in different ways, from two of my teachers.  These are the subtle ways God speaks to us, if only we are keen to listen...

I used to be creative in more secular ways, but I have since ceased such activity.  It was fun, but could never seem to shake the looming sense of futility in it all...as much I loved the scene/alternative community I was in, just never really fit in, anyway.  Although I ceased such fruitless actions, my creativity remained...many times I wondered how God wanted me to use the various gifts bestowed upon me, for the good for all...

How generous Krishna is, to have heard me wondering--now we have this blog!  This is an easy way to share my simple collages, archive my studies of yogic philosophies, share thoughts on teachings, and inspire e-satsang!  Truly, we are all just walking each other home.  I am so excited to begin this blog, trying my best to share my love of God; trying my best to serve God, and the devotees.  God is everything, in all forms, in all ways.  Micro and macro.  God is me, and everyone, and everything in this material world, and beyond.  We are all connected.  Who knows, maybe one day, someone will stumble upon this humble blog and feel uplifted, the way I did when I stumbled upon the Glorious Krishna blog...Haribo!
